Premier Institute and Centre of Excellence in the field of entrepreneurship promotion and Human Resource Development, recognized by State Government. Institute, as an autonomous organization under Department of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises & Export Promotion, Govt. of U.P., was set up in 1986. IEDUP's Governing Board, headed by Principal Secretary, MSME & Export Promotion, Govt. of U.P., comprises of senior bureaucrats, bankers, academicians and eminent professionals.
Institute of Entrepreneurship Development, U.P. (IEDUP), Lucknow, is a State Level Institute has State of the Art infrastructure, best among other State level ED Institutions, sprawled over 5 acres of land having well-equipped training and hostel facilities. IEDUP is located at Sarojini Nagar industrial area, Lucknow which has about 70-80 industries in various sectors.
The Institute works with the mission of spearheading entrepreneurship, nationally through well-designed interventions Entrepreneurial Training, Capacity building, Research, Evaluation, Workshops, Seminars, Exposure visits etc. IEDUP has always tried to put in place interventions that may facilitate in bolstering Skilling and entrepreneurship across geographies, supported by various Central and State Government departments through their flagship schemes.
We have also been providing programme management and technical consultancy support to various organizations including international agencies on many cross-cutting issues. IEDUP is involved in entrepreneurship and industrial development not only in Uttar Pradesh but in many other States as well. Aligned with its core mandate, it works with existing and potential entrepreneurs, Industry Associations, support organizations in the MSME eco-system, financial institutions, as well as corporate organizations.
The Institute's activities have been supported by more than 100 State and Central Government, Ministries, financial institutions, Corporates and International agencies. Presently, IEDUP is working with several ministries/depts. of the Govt. of India such as; Handicrafts, Textiles, Food Processing, Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, Science and Technology, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Skill Development Missions, NABARD, SIDBI etc..
The Institute of Entrepreneurship Development, Uttar Pradesh (IED UP), aims to foster entrepreneurial spirit, nurture innovation, and provide training and support for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
